HOW DO I APPLY?

Our Application opens on October 01 of each year and closes on November 01. The application will be posted on our website. Once open, fill out the written application. Applicants will then be contacted to schedule an interview. After interviews, applicants will be notified if they have been selected by 01 January.

We have only 4 slots per course, so the application process is very competitive. We train veterans and give them the experience to get their first job in the ranching industry - this should be your goal if you are applying!

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO APPLY?

No experience is required to apply! The only qualification is that you must have served in a branch of the armed forces.

The number one thing that we look for in applicants is their hunger and passion to get a job in the ranching industry.

WHAT IS THE COST?

This program is absolutely free of cost to the veterans who attend.

This program is 100% supported by donations so that every veteran who attends does not pay anything.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM ENTAIL?

The program is a full 10 weeks. We spend the first few weeks on our camp learning to ride, rope, take care of livestock, and do a variety of other ranch tasks. After this, we travel as a group to some of the most iconic ranches in the west to work. We help the ranches with whatever they have going on during that time period. This includes taking care of cattle, irrigation, fencing, and any other projects that they need help with.

If you attend, you can expect to work 6-7 days a week. We have a lot of learning to pack into a short amount of time so be prepared for long and physically demanding days.
